Afternoon tea party fundraiser to benefit NJ animal sanctuary

Rutherford, NJ – Sweet Avenue Bake Shop along with Rutherford Pancake House present an afternoon tea party fundraiser to benefit for the Animals sanctuary of Blairstown, NJ. The event will be held at Rutherford Pancake House (40 Park Ave. Rutherford, NJ) on Sunday, February 20th at 5pm.  Menu items include: tea, mini cupcakes, muffins, fruit, scones, and tea sandwiches.

Rutherford Pancake House will be accepting pre-paid reservations on a per table basis, with all of the proceeds being donated to for the Animals sanctuary of Blairstown, NJ.  Tables for two are available at $40.  Tables for four are available at $80.  Limited space for larger groups is also available upon request.  Inquiries on reservations should be directed to Rutherford Pancake House at 201-340-4171.

Sweet Avenue Bake Shop along with Rutherford Pancake House present a Tea Party fundraiser to benefit for the Animals sanctuary. The event will be held on Sunday, February 20th at 5pm. Pre-paid reservations must be placed in person at the Rutherford Pancake House. Tickets are available starting at $40 per table (for two). There are a limited number of two-seat tables, so if you are a small party, we recommend buying your tickets ASAP. Larger tables are available for groups of four to twelve.

Menu items include: tea, mini cupcakes, muffins, fruit, scones and tea sandwiches.

Semi-formal tea party attire suggested.

*Just to clarify, reservations for this event are cash-only and must be pre-paid at Rutherford Pancake House (40 Park Ave. Rutherford).
We had questions about the cash-only policy at our last party, and wanted to stress that the reason we are not accepting credit cards is because the proceeds from this event will be donated to for the Animals sanctuary. Credit card processing fees eat up a significant chunk of the ticket prices. We feel that making this event cash-only is a small sacrifice to ensure more money goes to the sanctuary.

Directions from NYC:
From Port Authority, take the 190 bus to PATERSON. A roundtrip ticket can be purchased from the ticket machine. The driver will usually announce Rutherford Train station as they are pulling up to the stop, but you may want to ask the driver to notify you when it arrives at the Rutherford Train station. White Chocolate Chai Latte is back as our Alice in Wonderland tea-infused flavor this week! Spicy chai tea cake with vanilla bean frosting, chai sauce and white chocolate chips. Available Tuesday-Sunday starting today.

You guys loved this one to death, so Lemonade Iced Tea is BACK this week as our tea-infused cupcake! It’ll be available every day this week, through Sunday. Perfect for our early spring weather we’re getting!

This week’s Alice in Wonderland Tea Party flavor is Raspberry White Tea. Raspberry White Tea-infused cake, filled with raspberry preserves, and topped with raspberry brown sugar frosting! Available Tuesday – Sunday of this week!

To celebrate the upcoming release of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, we’re inviting you to a tea party. Every week we will release one new tea-infused flavor. The flavor will be available all week long from Tuesday-Sunday so that everyone gets a chance to come down and try it!

We’re starting one day late (thanks snow!), but for this week’s flavor, we’ve decided to bring back Blueberry Earl Grey. This is a Earl Grey Tea infused cake with blueberry filling and Brown Sugar frosting. This cupcake just screams EAT ME!
