I’m super excited to announce that I finally have a cupcake tattoo! What do you think? It’s supposed to look similar to the cupcake in our logo.

We never thought when we opened our little cupcake shop almost 3 years ago that’d we’d meet as many absolutely crazy awesome people as we do, or that we’d see so many bizarre things. We’ve gotten pretty used to it at this point, but yesterday we saw something that left us absolutely speechless.

We’re not even sure what to say, except that we’re completely flattered. And yes, we asked if they were real. They were. And they were done at Powerhouse Tattoo in Montclair.

We’re honestly not sure what anyone can do to top this one. Congrats, Matt and Jeff. You guys win at everything.

Yesterday we had another cupcake-tattooed visitor! As you may know, we have a standing offer at Sweet Avenue: Show us your cupcake tattoo and you get a free cupcake (see here for more cupcake tattoos). This young lady from Brooklyn (whose name we totally forgot =[ ) was more than happy to make the trade.

I recently visited Tattoos are Forever in North Arlington, NJ for their grand opening this past Saturday. I saw a lot of flash on the wall, and I noticed drawings of cupcakes. The artist who drew them, Nicole, said she would give me a good deal on one, and I couldn’t pass it up.
