Magical Mystery Cupcake (9/25/09): Vampire Kiss

We’re kicking off October a little early with an awesome horror-themed Magical Mystery cupcake–Vampire Kiss!

The delicious deep red cake is made with raspberry chambord liqueur, filled with raspberry preserves, and topped with a vanilla bean-infused vodka frosting and drops of (probably fake) blood.

It’s a little early for Halloween, but who doesn’t love vampire cupcakes?

Yesterday we had another cupcake-tattooed visitor! As you may know, we have a standing offer at Sweet Avenue: Show us your cupcake tattoo and you get a free cupcake (see here for more cupcake tattoos). This young lady from Brooklyn (whose name we totally forgot =[ ) was more than happy to make the trade.

So come on, people. There are plenty of free cupcakes to go around. We know there must be more of you with awesome cupcake tattoos.

We’re a little late getting these photos up, but we had a blast at the Rutherford Labor Day Street Fair. Every year on Labor Day, Park Avenue in Rutherford is shut down and transformed into a huge flea market. The event usually draws 20,000-30,000 people to our small town, so it’s obviously always a busy day for us.

One of our favorite shows on tv is True Blood, and the season finale is tonight. This is cause for celebration, obviously, so we devised these awesome printed True Blood cupcakes! What flavor are they? Why, southern red velvet, of course. They’re available in limited quantities today only!
