Our printed/edible image cupcakes are priced at $4.00 each. A minimum of one dozen cupcakes is required to place an order; however, flavors and designs can be assorted. These can be topped with pretty much any type of artwork you like, from cartoon characters, to wedding monograms, to baby photos.

Our past orders have included corporate logos such Comcast, Verizon, Apple, and BMW; baby shower themes; wedding monograms; LOST; sports logos such as the NY Giants, NY Jets, NY Yankees, and Boston Red Sox; GI Joe, Nightmare Before Christmas; Disney Princesses; Star Wars; Batman; Superman; and more.

Wow. We’re exhausted. Yesterday was St. Joseph’s Hospital’s Cooking For Kids charity event. It was basically a huuuuuge gala with vendors from all over NJ offering up free samples to the patrons. We were there alongside tons of other great restaurants, bars, and caterers and we had a ton of fun.

We brought hundreds of cupcakes and had everything displayed on our tiered stands at our table. We also had a small assortment of our awesome printed cupcakes for display as well.

It was a really cool night. We had some great falafel & hummus, we met a bunch of cool people, and we kinda sorta heard The Nerds play a set in the next room over. Best of all, a ton of money was raised for St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, which was the whole point of the evening, so I’d say it was a successful night all around.

We’ll be at the St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital Cooking for Kids charity event this evening handing out free cupcake samples! The purpose of this signature event is to raise significant funds for Pediatric programs and services at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital. We’re thrilled to be part of this event! The event will be held at The Venetian in Garfield, NJ from 6:30 – 9:30 pm.

Some of the other attractions at the event will be The Nerds, Chef Ariane Durante from CulinAriane Restaurant in Montclair, NJ (who appeared on Bravo’s Top Chef), and American restaurateur and food expert Donatella Arpaia.

Magical Mystery Cupcake (4/17/09): Triple Chocolate Fudge Brownie

You people like Chocolate. We know this because you’re always asking “which one has the most chocolate?”

Well, at first it was Jet Black. He ruled the day and all was well. He was a benevolent and kind ruler, and all the people rejoiced. Sadly, though he was a fine ruler, it soon became apparent that he wasn’t really living up to his full chocolate potential, so along came Little Cutie to claim the throne for her own.

Little Cutie had a long and fruitful run. Chocolate lovers rejoiced under her rule as she was bountiful with chocolate. Unfortunately for her, history tends to repeat itself, especially since you people are always hungry for MOAR CHOCOLATE.

That’s where Triple Chocolate Fudge Brownie comes in. We could have just called it CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE, but we broke out the thesaurus for you people. It’s got a brownie round baked into the bottom of the cake (which is chocolate with chocolate chunks). It’s topped with our finest dark chocolate frosting, and just for good measure, we’ve balanced another giant hunk of brownie on the top. Oh, then we drizzled chocolate ganache all over it. Just to drive the point home.

Today’s Magical Mystery Flavor is KEY LIME PIE! Vanilla cake with a graham cracker crust, key lime filling, topped with key lime and vanilla frosting. Available today only!

Mike recently asked us to make some printed cupcakes for his birthday. He wanted the FBI seal on them. Why? We didn’t ask, but we’re pretty sure he’s not any sort of law enforcement professional. But hey, who are we to judge, right? They do look awesome, and he certainly looks jazzed about the whole shebang, doesn’t he?

Awesome, right? Remember, folks, we can print just about anything on these cupcakes, so let us know if you’re interested in your own personalized designs that you can eat.

Last September two good friends left us for an overseas adventure. They said they didn’t want to leave us, but they got a great deal through Jet Blue and the tickets were non-refundable. We understood, but were still sad. They went off to Australia. and from there headed off to Asia and Europe for a 3-continent adventure. They apparently had a great time meeting new people, seeing the sights, and taking lots of photos.

They managed to walk the Great Wall of China, climb the Eiffel Tower, take a gondola ride in Venice, went bar-hopping in Amsterdam, and spent a little time hanging out with the locals in Barcelona, but they didn’t manage to bring us back so much as a snowglobe. We’ll admit we’re a little hurt, but more than anything else, we’re just happy to have them both back.

So yes, it’s official. Lavender Lemon and Lemon Raspberry are back on the menu every Saturday and Sunday starting today! This should be the case for the foreseeable future, or at least until they get restless again…

Oh, and In case anyone has forgotten, Lavender Lemon is a lemon cake, topped with lavender frosting and filled with fresh lemon-curd, while Lemon Raspberry is a lemon cake filled with raspberry preserves and topped with lemon frosting and a fresh raspberry. They’re both freakin’ delicious, too. Just incase you were wondering.

We’ve been pretty busy here creating a new Spring menu, so unfortunately I’ve been neglecting the blog. Well, I’m back with some updates.

1. Brand new menu coming shortly. We have already implemented the new menu in our shop, so those who have stopped by recently have seen our new flavors: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Thai Coconut Curry. Our Cupcake of the Month is Cotton Candy! Cotton Candy will be available every Wednesday and Friday for the month of April. AND! We’ll also have two old friends joining us this Spring. Details soon!

2. NEW Website design!! What do you think? We are beyond ecstatic about the new design. Many, many thanks to Jake for his hard work. There is still more to be done with the site, so we appreciate your patience while we are fixing little bugs here and there. Jake has been known to stay up ’til 4am working on the site, so trust us, much time and effort is going into this project. We hope you love the new design as much as we do!

3. Today’s Magical Mystery Flavor is SPUMONI! Kristina and I grew up with Spumoni ice cream, so when she thought to create this cupcake, we HAD to make it! We highly recommend stopping by soon (despite the nasty rain) to try this cupcake. We only have a few left!!
